WISER: About Us

The WISER Creators

Claire Burke Draucker, RN, PhD, FAAN, is a Professor at the Indiana University School of Nursing. She is an advanced practice nurse and a licensed psychologist with many years of counseling experience. With Dr. Martsolf, she has conducted several research studies on mental health issues experienced by adolescents and young adults, including dating violence. Dr. Draucker is the Co-Principal Investigator of the WISER project.

Donna S. Martsolf, RN, CNS, PhD, FAAN, is Professor and Associate Dean for Research at the University of Cincinnati College of Nursing. She is licensed as an advanced practice mental health nurse with many years of counseling experience. She has collaborated with Dr. Draucker and others to conduct several research studies on mental health issues experienced by adolescents and young adults, including dating violence. Dr. Martsolf is the Co-Principal Investigator of the WISER project.

The WISER Support Staff

Stacey Crane RN, PhD(c), CCRP, CPON, is a doctoral student at the Indiana University School of Nursing. Her doctoral studies are supported by training grants from the National Institute of Nursing Research. Her background includes a master's degree in nursing informatics. Ms. Crane is the Project Manager of the WISER project.

Robert Skipworth Comer, MS, is a Research Associate in the Human-Centered Computing Department at the Indiana University School of Informatics and Computing, and the leader of the Convergent Media & Experimental Technologies (COMET) Lab. He has developed many projects to support research studies in health-related fields. Mr. Comer is the Web Designer of the WISER project.

The WISER Advisors

Halima Al-Khattab, RN, PhD, is a recent graduate of Indiana University School of Nursing's BSN to PhD program. Her doctoral studies were supported by training grants from the National Institute of Nursing Research. Her area of interests include adolescent and young adult mental health. Dr. Al-Khattab is an advisor and a Project Manager for the WISER project.

Caesar Bravo, BS, is a recent graduate of Indiana University - Purdue University Indianapolis where he studied Kinesiology. He served as a Health and Wellness Peer Educator and supported the Office of Health and Wellness Promotion at IUPUI with providing outreach presentations, workshops, and event planning related to college student health and wellness. His area of interest is physical wellness and the compression of morbidity. Mr. Bravo is an advisor for the WISER project.

Allison McCord, RN, BSN, is a doctoral student at Indiana University School of Nursing. Her doctoral studies are supported by a training grant from the National Institute of Nursing Research. Her area of research interest is mental health in Hispanic adolescents. Ms. McCord is an advisor for the WISER project.

Lindsey Romero is a graduate of Dartmouth College where she studied Psychology and Film & Media Studies. She currently works as a Program Coordinator for a youth development nonprofit in New York City with inner-city high school students. Ms. Romero is an advisor for the WISER project.

The WISER Research Associates

Kim McNealy, BSN RN CNOR, is a doctoral student at the Indiana University School of Nursing. Her doctoral studies are supported through the IUSON 100th Anniversary Scholars Fellowship. Kim has a background in pediatric neurosurgery and is a research assistant for the WISER project

Jesseca Washburn, RN, BSN, is a Indiana University School of Nursing graduate. She is currently pursuing her Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner Degree. Ms. Washburn is a research assistant for the WISER project.
